This is more than an honor for all the activists on front line fighting dog meat trade in korea. Nami Kim met him in LA early December 2016. Kevin Bright, the producer of "Friends" is coming to Korea to do a documentary on DMT in Korea. The world must be aware of what is going on with the dogs in this dog eating nation. Nami believes Kevin's documentary will be the best ever on DMT in Hollywood scale. Kevin and his wife Claudia is adopting a dog from a meat farm.
"I don't watch TV at all, never knew who Jennifer Aniston was, how famous this sitcom "Friends" was, I hear it ran for 10 years, the longest ever.

Downton Abbey star Peter Egan at the London Westminster protest against the South Korea DOG MEAT TARDE

"I was delighted to attend the debate in Westminster Hall yesterday. Oliver Dowden MP proposed that the house consider e-petition 120702 relating to South Korea and the Dog Meat Trade.
What impressed me very much was that all MP's in attendance had researched the problem thoroughly and were able to present the case as to how horrific the dog meat trade is.

Watch Parliament TV: Debate on South Korea and the dog meat trade - CLICK HERE

We mustn't forget that this debate happened because of you..all of you..who signed the e-petition. It is a great example of "people power" and the communicative power of the social network sites.

What is evident to me now more than ever, is that we must continue to share all information about this disgusting trade. We must share, not only the horror but, the great work being done, not only by the established international charities but all the small indigenous groups who work so hard to bring this horror to an end. So many young people in S.Korea are to be applauded for their commitment to bringing to an end the habit of cruelty. It is so often referred to as culture by those who wish to torture animals for taste in the dog meat trade. Culture, in any great nation and, S.Korea is a great nation, has got to be defined within the process of education, enlightenment and compassion.
I hope, one day, before I depart from this great planet of ours, I see an end to this shocking business. Cheers to all. Peter (-:)"

Hulk Hogan and Brooke Hogan speak out against dog meat cruelty

Published on 12th April 2015

On April 12, 2015, I met Brooke Hogan and Hulk Hogan at MegaCon2015 in Orlando, Florida. Brooke noticed my KOREANDOGS.ORG t-shirt and asked what she could do to help. I told her that she could make a video and she recruited her dad to join her in it. Brooke is the most beautiful woman I have ever met and her dad is the coolest guy I have ever met. The Hulkster looks the same as he did when I became a fan decades ago. They are both world champions for the dogs and cats in the meat trade.

I met the great voice actor Rob Paulsen at MegaCon 2015 in Orlando, Florida on April 12th. Rob was kind enough to make a video in support of Thanks very much, Rob, for joining the campaign to stop the torture and consumption of dogs and cats in the meat trade. You are the best! Rob sells autographed photos at a very reasonable price to benefit Operation Smile and The Wounded Warrior Bob Heisler.

Told the SundayWorld - 4th February 2016

I went to the screening of a new movie called 'Eating Happiness', about the dog meat trade in Asia.
We have all heard the horror stories of the Yulin festival in China; it’s a festival of eating dog meat.

It is truly horrifying what goes on and the images you will find on Google don’t even come close to the real cruelty. I am a huge dog person and Winston, my dog, is like my child. Dogs are human companions and our best friends, becoming family members to anyone who owns one.

Dogs understand us, they have their own emotions and can feel ours. It’s shocking to see how they are treated in certain parts of Asia.

Although China has a bad reputation for dog meat trade, South Korea is definitely the worst, closely followed by Vietnam. In Vietnam they import all of the dogs from other countries, the dogs are transported in metal cages and squashed in together with no food or water in soaring heat.

Many of the dogs at the bottom of the cages get crushed and die en route but it’s a lucky escape for them, as the other dogs face much worse deaths. The most shocking figure in the film was that 70 per cent of the dogs used as food are stolen pets. Some people have had up to five dogs stolen from them. These are household dogs taken from their homes and killed in the most brutal ways to be eaten by humans.

Many people believe that eating dog meat makes you strong and the more adrenalin running through a dog before it dies, the better tasting the meat. The dogs are killed in the most disgusting ways, some being skinned alive, boiled alive and beaten to death as the pain that is inflicted causes a rush of adrenalin in the terrified animals. Of course, these are beliefs with no scientific evidence to back them up.

South Korea hosted the 1988 winter Olympics and all of the dog meat restaurants were banished to the outskirts of the city so the tourists wouldn’t know what went on. They have recently been awarded the bid of the 2018 winter Olympics and I think it’s disgusting that the Olympic committee would choose such an immoral country to host these games. I know this article is probably a hard read, but I think a light needs to be shone on what is happening in the world so we can stop this cruelty.

A petition is being started in the UK so that all of this can be brought to an end and I’d encourage anyone to go online and support it.
