Dear Editor ________________

As a large and rapidly expanding group of people against the deliberate torture neglect and cruelty towards our companion animals which is perpetrated daily throughout Asia, we are more than delighted by the recent coverage in a National newspaper drawing attention to the horrendous dog meat trade with its deliberate extreme torture, along with the neglect and cruelty of the dog meat farms and dog stealing gangs enabling the butchers in their cruel trade, the dog meat eating festivals where thousands of dogs are tortured skinned and boiled alive. Any exposure of this trade to the general public and potential tourists to raise awareness is our ultimate aim, in the hope that with this awareness of our growing movement for compassion, new welfare laws will be established and the barbaric cruelty will cease. The Winter Olympics 2018 Pyeong Chang in China, the World Dog Show 2019 hosted there too, what a contradiction that is. With this in mind we would like media such as yourselves to keep up the momentum in highlighting this trade to raise awareness of China, Korea, Vietnam, India Thailand the Phillipines participation and direct the public to ways of assisting our aim by publishing information on the trade itself and how the general public can join the cause in helping by donations, protests, tweets, posts, sharing videos, any media coverage in fact. The website has every bit of collated information on the trade, the Countries, the protests, petitions, donations, rescues, rescuers, videos, celebrities everything well laid out and easily understood, please take a look.

Dear Editor ________________

I belong to an ever increasing group of people that campaign against the dog and cat meat trade in Asia. Until recently the very idea of what we were campaigning against was met with shock, horror and denial from most people. The facts were almost too horrific for them to comprehend, and so denial was an easier option. And in the meantime millions of animals, its estimated up to 10 million in China alone. Many of which are much loved family pets that are stolen to be skinned, beaten and their limbs hacked off, hung to within inches of their life and then finally boiled until they die.

Now, with thanks to the recent wonderful report in the Daily Mirror these facts can no longer be shoved under the carpet, and the plight of these animals ignored. The truth is out!

We are their voice and their only hope, and so I ask that you continue to run this article on a monthly/regular basis to keep this awareness campaign running, and these horrors fresh in people’s minds, and actions that they can take to help.
For many of us this is a daily fight, with our letter writing and signing of petitions, raising awareness etc.. We also support groups who are working out in Asia to educate people and save the animals.
Please help us to help them.
