I'm a meat trade survivor from China and this is my story....
I first saw Hansum in Marc Chings shelter with Suki Su in China last July He was rescued by Marc from the Yulin Festival. He was very skinny and very scared. I instantly applied to adopt him. I then spoke to Defra and found out how to get him to the Uk. Then I organised an afternoon tea and raised over £3000 which paid for him and 2 other dogs to come here. Teddy a little terrier mix and Marta a German Shepard. They all have loving homes now. Hansum with me.

Unfortunately Hansum has Babesia Gibsoni which is a tick born disease that he caught in china. The strain he had never been seen in this country so it's been very difficult to treat. He is in remission at the moment. We are waiting to get an unlicensed drug here to maybe cure him. He is an adorable dog. Very gentle and very intelligent.
