Animal activist Marc Ching first laid eyes on Liberty while working undercover at a slaughterhouse in Cambodia. She was hung. Beat with a pipe. And in the moment before she was set to die, they cut her feet off for meat, something that is allegedly a common practice of dog meat butchers.

Liberty stayed with Animal Rescue Cambodia for 6 weeks. She was then sent to the U.S

Derrick Campana is President and CEO of Animal Ortho Care in Sterling and explained, "We casted her today and we're going to be fitting her tomorrow with a new set of prosthetic legs."
Making the prosthetics usually takes up to two weeks but Liberty's will be made in one day.
